Rosey Tilda

I believe this is Tilda holding Magnolias. I coloured her with prismas & gamsol. The prismas were feeling lonely - I've been ignoring them a lot lately since I got my Koh-i-noor pencils (which I ADORE!!!! Have I mentioned that??? LOL) I made this card for a monthly swap I am in. It is quite a fun one - each month there is a different hostess - the hostess sends 7 images and 6 pieces of DP to each of the girls in our group (there are 6 of us); when we get our packages, we make 6 cards, send 1 to each of the other 5 in our group, and we keep one! August was my turn to host, so I sent this image to everyone! I can't wait to see what they do with her!!!

The cardstock is all Ruby Red (SU) and the DP is Bella Rose (will be in the new SU catty). The roses are so pretty!! I used the SU tag punches and the sentiment is from Mini Mates, an old SU set that I LOVE!!

Tilda with Magnolia's

I think that is what she is holding...LOL.....I have so many now, I can't keep track!!! This sketch is also from SCS - it is SC143. I used Bashful blue as my base, and the DP is SU but not sure what package (sorry), certainly celery, and bashful blue ribbon. I added stickles to the flowers and to her wings (as usual!). I coloured her with my SU markers.

I am heading out of town again on Friday to hang out in BC with my sisters and their kids! Can't wait to swim in the lake & go tubing! If I get a chance to create before I leave, I will schedule posts for when I'm gone - I don't want you to miss me too much!!! LOL If not, I will be back Aug. 1st, then I'm staying PUT for the rest of the summer!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

SCS sketch challenge card

This card is for Adelee's swap club - this month's theme is to use a stamp set that is retiring from SU! I used Wildlife Reserve - I really like this set, I should use it more often! This is also my first attempt at "inchies"..... I'll get back to you on a verdict on those!!! LOL The SCS sketch I used was SC123. I used Old Olive as my base, then the DP is Wintergreen. I used my Hodgepodge hardware and some green leather string. The sentiment is from Warm Words (SU). I think it makes for a good masculine card, what do you think?

OOPS, I did it again.......

(singing the Britney Spears song now???) Seriously, you know you have TOO MANY stamps when you do THIS continually! I ordered a couple stamps from Crafty Krafts in the UK, they came today.....and when I went to put them away and enter them into my spreadsheet (I know...anal! I THOUGHT it would help PREVENT this from happening, but it doesn't!!! DOHH!!) I realized I had TWO of them ALREADY!!! OMG, I am such a dope!!!! So, I will sell them to YOU - aren't you lucky?!?!? The first one is Tilda holding a watering can ($13) and the other is the Summer background ($15) - it is the background that is inside the circle of this card - hills, clouds, sun. They will slip nicely into an envelope so there won't be any extra shipping except for a stamp or two, so we can add on $2 for shipping and call it a day!!!! Let me know before Thurs. so I can get them out before I leave for vacation! :D

Blog candy alert!!!

Ila has a FAB blog candy giveaway....7 Magnolia stamps, paper, ribbon and flowers!!! AWESOME!!!!! Check it out & pass on the word!!!!

More Notebooks!

This first notebook is made with the sketch for Katharina's Guest Designer contest. She has followed her dream and is opening up her own stamp company...what a lucky girl!! The company is called Whiff of Joy, and I've gotten a sneak peek on her blog of 2 of the stamps - and they are CUTE!!!! Katharina is so talented, I can't wait to see what she comes up with!!!

This is my submission for the Guest Designer contest. The image and saying were in with my order from Sweet n Sassy stamps (thanks Korin!!) - such a cute chickadee, so I had to use him!! The paper is Bella Rose by SU (will be in the new catty), Old Olive and Rose Red. The ribbon is Bravo Burgundy. I coloured the chickadee with gamsol and prismas. I made a matching pen and this set will be part of my reveal gift for my Secret Sister on SCS.

This mermaid notebook is a take on Katharina's sketch but I moved the sentiment because I wanted to add a bow. I got this Tilda image from someone awhile ago too, and have been on a "use it up" kick...so here I am, using up my images!! I love her long flowing hair...so pretty!!! Anyways, the paper is Wintergreen (old SU designer paper), and blue bayou. The sentiment is from Stamping Bella. The ribbon is SU Soft Sky. I added stickles to her wings and around the sentiment.

Here are 2 travel journals I made to sell at the Farmer's Market. The paper I used was from the clearance bin at Michaels a long time ago, and it was all travel related - for the life of me, I can't remember what it was called. I added a chipboard tag and stamped "My Trip" on it with Karen Foster Snap stamps, and sponged the sides.
