SCS challenges

I managed to do TWO SCS challenges this week!!! How I fit that in, I'm not so sure!!!! LOL for both I used Angelica's Heart Socks from Inky Impressions. I coloured her with my Koh-i-noor pencils and gamsol.

This first card is the Colour challenge - CC224 from this week, which was to use Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango and Summer Sun! I struggled with this colour combination and am still not 100% in love with it (I AM in love with these stamps though!!!!)

This second card is for the Sketch Challenge last week - SC233. It is a neat one, since you can used up those little scraps!!! I used Tangerine Tango because it is one of my favourite SU colours (now retired)!

INKY IMPRESSIONS rubber stamps - Angelica & LiLi, are ON SALE NOW at http://inkyimpressionsrubberstamps.com/ so if you don't have yours yet, head on over there and pick up a couple!!! THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!! AND, once you have them, join us every Wed. for our Inky Challenges over at the Challenge blog
We would love to see what you create with these little cuties!!!! So, what are you waiting for??? GET going, and get some NEW RUBBAH!!!! (and it is NICE RUBBAH too!!!!!)

Now, for the Simon Says Stamp CHALLENGE for this week: Our challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog is to make a card for a sick child. I wanted to make mine for a boy, because they are harder to do, and I needed a challenge!!! LOL I also didn't want to focus on their illness, but rather focus on how FABULOUS of a child they are, no matter what! I don't have kids of my own, but I am a teacher & I have a lot of nieces and nephews and friends with young children. I am very fortunate that they are all healthy. I cannot imagine what a family goes through and my heart breaks just thinking about it (I am tearing up right now!!) Anyway, here is my card for the challenge:

I used some shiny gold & red papers I got in a little pack from the Dollar Store and matted it on black. I used the Simon Says Stamp set called "You Rock" which is a great little set for music lovers, guys, girls, kids who love Rock Band.......etc. I embossed the guitar in black right on the red paper to make it look "flashy"...it is a very simple card but I like how it turned out!!!

So... head on over to the Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created for your viewing pleasure!! We really hope you will join us in this challenge & I can't wait to see what you have created!!!!! Don't forget, as always, there is a $25 shopping spree at Simon Says Stamp store for one lucky winner at EVERY challenge!!!!

Inky Impressions Design Team Challenge #3

This week, the Inspirational Inkettes have been given a recipe challenge. On our cards, we are to use, 3 buttons, 2 designer papers, and 1 ribbon. Here is my card for this challenge:

I used LiLi Colouring Eggs this week and adapted her again! THIS time, I let her have that puppy she always wanted!!! I cut her out & perched her on a stool with a cute puppy at her feet. She is holding 2 little dog bones instead of a paintbrush and an Easter Egg! My 3 buttons are at the bottom (doggy buttons!) and the blue paper is actually Designer paper - the backside of the top piece!!!

IF you already have some Inky Impressions stamps, PLEASE feel free to join in on the challenges, and link us to your card in the comment section! We would LOVE to see what you do with these girls!!! If you don't have yours YET, you better head on over to INKY IMPRESSIONS RUBBER STAMPS and snatch up a couple of these cuties!!!

Thanks for stopping by and please head to the Inky Impressions Challenge Blog to see what a few of the Design Team members have to share with you this week!! You are in for a REAL treat this week!!!!!

From the herd

HAY everyone!!! LOL I received this image of Edwin with a chicken from someone awhile ago - I never bought him, but I think I might need to now...he is adorable!!!! I coloured everything with copics. I made parts of it stand out (decoupage) - the egg, the chicken and Edwin's head for a different effect. The horse and chickens are popped out too. I should have taken a side view of it to show you...sorry! Next time!!! Inside the sentiment says "Happy Birthday From the Herd" which is appropriate for my family since we are so HUGE!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment - you know I love them and appreciate them!!! Have a great day!!

Stamps: Magnolia (Edwin with chicken, sheep, horse, hay bale); Little Paper shop (chicken, sentiment inside); Cornish Heritage Farm (chicken wire background)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa
Ink: copic markers

Make a Wish foundation & a chance to win

Pink Cat Studio is releasing these new digital stamps today to raise money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation in honour of Ethan Wieman. Little Ethan passed away on July 12th from Neuroblastoma Cancer. Ethan was a true cowboy, loved horses, balloons and knock knock jokes.

My eyes fill with tears every time I read the words of Ethan's Mother, Alicia.....I know that anyone would be saddened by this touching story, especially those of you that are parents.

So, of course, off I went to PINK CAT STUDIOS to support this great cause and get a few GREAT digital images to boot!!!! Head on over there and get your own set of Weiman Wranglers!!!! By purchasing these digital images, you will help brighten the day of a sick child as the money that is raised, will go toward making one of their dreams come true.

CUTE set eh???

Lauren & Vicki are both offering Gift Certificates to Pink Cat Studios as well, so head on over to their blogs to check it out!!!!!
Way to go girls...what a great cause and a great honour in Ethan's memory!!
Here is my card I am submitting for Lauren's contest! I used the new SU paper Soft Suede, Outlaw DP and Really Rust. The stamps are cute eh???

Janet's Corrosive Challenge #17

Challenge #17 for Janet's Corrosive Challenge blog was to make a card with a fancy fold. Well, at the moment, my FAVOURITE fancy fold is the Stair-Step fold!!! This one uses a couple Magnolia cuties from the Chasing Butterflies collection. The base in Tangerine Tango and the DP is from SU as well but do you think I can remember the name of the series??? NOPE!!! LOL The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

ETA: The dimesions are 10 1/2 x 5 for the base. Score at 1.75, 2.5, 4.25, 6, and 8.25 inches. Fold it accordion style so the small side is in the front and folded down. The DP is just cut 1/4 inch smaller but that is just personal choice, you can cover the whole thing or not at all.

Have a great week!!!!
Chris
