The paper is all scraps from my bin, including the card base - it is an odd shaped card, not even sure of the dimensions actually!!!! LOL The stamp is from Rachelle Ann Miller and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. I coloured her with Copics.

Stamping Sisters in Christ - Guest Designer

I was asked to represent Simon Says Stamp this week on the Stamping Sisters in Christ Challenge blog as a Guest Designer. I was honoured to be part of this great, new challenge blog. Kristine has been a long time friend through stamping and blogging & various other stamping ventures, so to be able to work closely with her again was a treat!!!! The theme this week is Jeremiah 1:5 so I needed to make a Baby card or project for a new baby or expecting Mommy! Well, in the last 2 weeks, 4 people I know had babies so this was right up my alley!!!! I had a few BABY things to make!!! Simon Says Stamp is a sponsor this week for the challenge so there are ALWAYS great prizes when Heidi is involved!!!!

I used a favourite House Mouse stamp called Monica Dozes - you can get this stamp at Simon Says Stamp!! The paper & ribbon I used is from Papertrey Ink - Spring Moss & Aqua Mist - I wanted some soft, neutral colours and these were perfect!!

I hope you will head over there and join in this weeks challenge to make a baby card or project!!!!! I'd love to see what you make!!!! Thanks for stopping by - have a great rest of the week!!!!

Three challenges in one post......phewwww!!!! I was busy!!!!

I hibernated yesterday because it was snowy and cold so I got a few challenges done!!! This first card is for Challenge #73 at Spoonful of Sugar - using a sketch. Here is my take on the sketch -which was really fun!!!

I used an image of Tilda on a sled, which was mailed to me last winter that I finally got around to colouring & using! The cardstock is Pink Pirouette & is 6x6. The green designer paper is from a TAC stack that I got last spring (can't remember the name of it!!) The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set called Sending Sunshine. I added stickles to the snowflakes and randomly to the white stars on the green paper. I coloured Tilda with my Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol.

This next card is for Digital Tuesday Challenge, which was to make a Halloween card! I couldn't resist using this cute monster from Dustin Pike. I wanted him sitting on something spooky, like a tombstone, so I found the graveyard scene online in a colouring pages site - I just googled "tombstone colouring page" & got a TON!!! Amazing what is out there for free!!

I used the last of my Trick or Treat paper by Provo Craft for this card!!! Sniff sniff!! I coloured the sky with my chalks and the rest with Copics.I added crystal effects to the cross, the lollipop and his teeth!

This last card is for Mojo Monday - week 108!! I have always liked the Mojo Monday sketches so I thought I would try this one out!

I used the stamp sets from Verve Stamps called Practically Perfect (bunnies) and Beautiful You (sentiment) and the Happy Anniversary stamp is from Simon Says Stamp. I used blue bayou and the DP is from an Adhesive mat stack that my friend Tracy got me ages ago - it is almost all gone so I will have to keep my eyes open for more next time I'm in the USA! (they don't sell that kinda thing in Canada!!)

Thanks for looking! I will be entering these 3 cards into those challenges so wish me luck!!!!! Have a great week!!! I can't believe it is Wed. already!!!! Wheeeeeeeeeee!!!

Simon Says.....SKETCH time!!!

This week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog is to use a sketch. We have a FABBY sketch by our very own LOVERLY Domi!! Thanks Domi - I LOVE this sketch!!!!

Here I used Musing Melinda, from Whiff of Joy (available at Simon Says Stamp) and some papers from SU. The cardstock is Melon Mambo and the DP is from the Razzleberry Lemonade series. I added pink flower, pink brads and pink buttons!!! I coloured Melinda with my Koh-i-noor pencils and gamsol, and added stickles to her pink wings!!! She looks so sweet sitting there!!!!

Last week we had ALMOST 200 participants again - think we can do it this week??? LET'S go for it and try!!! So come on everyone, I KNOW you love sketches!!!! I do!!! Takes the guess work on days when I can't think creatively!!!! And it is so fun to play around with different elements on the sketch! So, what are you waiting for?? GO PLAY!!! I can't wait to see what you create with this sketch!!!

Enjoy the rest of the week!!!!

Dare U 2 Digi Challenge (2 weeks in a row...wheeee)

I can't believe it, I actually was able to participate in Dare U 2 Digi challenges 2 weeks in a row..yaaaa me!!! LOL This week it is a colour challenge - yellow, orange & black (or white)
I have been working on this card for a couple days, trying to figure out the BEST way to use that castle door - and this is what I came up with. I originally wanted it to open, and the dragon pop out but it wasn't working. I will keep trying though!!!!

I used Digi stamps by Dustin Pike - the castle wall was a freebie awhile ago and I just got the dragon in his latest release. So adorable!!!! I coloured it all with Copics, then attached the dragon to the top of the wall. I cut out the door completely and glued a piece of vellum behind it. I mounted it all on pop dots & put it on silver cardstock. The finished size is about 5 1/2 x 10 from tip of his tail to the bottom of the card - gonna have to be creative in making an envelope for this baby!!!! I cut out the ROAR with my Cricut (Animal Kingdom cartridge)

And here is the inside sentiment. It is going to a little boy so I didn't want it to be too scary!! LOL

Thanks for hanging out with me! I hope you have a great week! I have to go back to work after 5 days off - sighhhh!!!!! See ya all tomorrow with the new Simon Says Stamp challenge!!!

This is the second post for today so please scroll down to see the other post! THANKS!
I am working hard to reach my goal of 4 challenges a week so this is my third! YAHOOO!!!! This is for the Funky Fairies challenge to ALTER IT!!! You have to use at least 1 Funky Fairies product so I used some cute Christmas spots digi paper that you can download for FREE!!!! You really should go check it out....they have some REALLY cute papers!!!!
I took a mini composition notebook and altered it, to make a Christmas list notebook for myself!
Here is the result:
The reindeer is from CC Designs and the font is Karen Foster snap stamps. I am off to enter this into their challenge now, so have a great day! I am leaving for TURKEY dinner in about an hour so wanted to get this posted before I leave & forget to do it altogether!!!!!
Have a great Sunday!!!

Corrosive Challenges ... sketch

I am now a full time member of Janet's Corrosive Challenge Blog Design Team. If you remember, I did a Guest DT spot in the summer & had a blast! Janet is VERY generous, offering prizes almost every week!!!! And she comes up with some GREAT challenges!!!! She asked me last week if I'd like to join her team full time & of course I couldn't pass that up!!!!!
We were given this sketch to work with, and it was a fun one!

My first instinct was to put flowers where the stars are, but I ALWAYS do that....I wanted something different, so I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch, made them 3D and added some bling!!! This is Tilda with birdcage from the Pet Collection. So, here is my first card as a Design Team member for the Corrosive Challenges blog!

I hope you can join us in the challenge this week!!! Head over to the challenge blog and check it out!!!! I am going to my parent's house for Thanksgiving dinner today!! YUMMM....I love turkey!!!! It is Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend - one of my favourite holidays!!!!
